Default Adjust tempo from filename?

Hi,

Any idea how this is supposed to work?

'Media import: support adjusting media based on tempo suggested by filename'

I have filenames starting with '128' or '128 bpm' but the Playback rate of the item remains at 1.000000 when importing the files into a project of 120 bpm.

Thanks for your help,

Roel

Thanks for posting the file details. The bpm-in-filename conversion only works if the filename starts with a number, which yours does, and the file is (within error bars) an exact number of beats or half-beats using that tempo, which yours is not. The point is to avoid converting based on numbers that aren't tempos.

That’s why I mentioned in the pre cycle that a pop up would be handy when several tempi have been found.
So the user can make his choice.

Thank you for this explanation. I just discovered the 'Set' button in the Media Item properties, which is a valid alternative for me.

Maybe a Traktor / Rekordbox / ... -style tempo detection + matching would be cool when importing this kind of 'full length tracks'.
