Default Real-time sampling and manipulation

Hi guys,

Is there a way with Reaper to record/sample an input and manipulate the sample in real-time (i.e, repeat, change pitch, reverse)? I'm trying to get to being able to do what Radiohead do in everything in its right place and when they play the gloaming live. I've seen guys do it with an iPad but they're using the Alesis dock which I can't afford. I wonder if there is a way to do it without it. Anyways, thanks in advance!

Ableton live probably easyer for that kind of things but with some work you can come pretty close using reaper I think.
For example you can use super8looper to record/loop/reverse and then pitch shift with reapitch...
There are some vst sampler that could be of good use, grace sampler a free vst seemed simple but powerfull to me for example.

Hey, I'm trying to do this with my FCB1010 and Tim Exhile's THE FINGER (controlled by both my keyboard controller AND my FCB1010. I'm just starting but I can see a LOT of possibilities that once I thought I would get using iPad (Samplr, Adrian Belew's FluxFx, etc). Amazing!
