Default Drawing a straight line in the editor

So this might seem like a newbie question but...

How do you draw a straight line in a CC lane in the midi editor?

It seems really hit and miss for me.

I've discovered a mouse modifier "Linear ramp CC events" but that seems to work on existing selections.

I just want to have nothing selected and draw a straight line :-)

Double click on the CC lane to just insert point(s)? If you have the default CC curve shape as square, you'll create straight horizontal lines with vertical lines at point positions. Curve shape at linear you'll get straight lines between the points. Yes, it's not really drawing, but if you want just a few straight lines, it's pretty straightforward way (pun).

Thanks. Makes sense now.

I realised I was trying to double click when the double headed arrow was showing. Moving the mouse slightly above or below the current selected value sorted that.

Also worked out how to select events and turn them into a straight line using mouse modifier "Linear Ramp CC events"....very handy!
