Default keyboard shortcut for track input?

Is there a way to change the record input (see attached) on a track without using the mouse?

In other words, I know there are several different ways of doing it (in the TCP, in the routing matrix, etc.), but is there a way to do it without using the mouse at all?

It seems as though there should be, but I couldn't find any actions that looked right.

Track templates are a workaround for inserting new tracks, but that doesn't help for changing the input of an existing track.

If you're wondering "why?" it's just because I really don't like the mouse, and so I try to avoid it whenever possible.

Thanks!

It can be done with SWS ReaConsole
http://www.standingwaterstudios.com/reaconsole.php

Then an action can be made for the above command

Ok, thanks for the tip. I had the SWS extension (I've used the marker utilities before), but I downloaded the latest version just in case, because it had been a while since I did that.

I see "Reaconsole" under the Extension menu. However, I can't seem to find "Reaconsole" in the Action list. (The manual said it was shortcut "c," but that's linked to my metronome now.)

Let me explain that my end goal is to be able to possibly assign a key on my X Touch so that, for example, I could move to the next input (from mic 1 to mic 2, for example) on the selected track. And have another key assigned for moving to the previous input on the selected track. Something like that.

If that's not possible, then entering the key command in Reaconsole (i.e., "i2 3" for "set input of track 2 to input 3") is a nice workaround. But I would at least like to be able to access Reaconsole then with a shortcut key.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

It seems incrementing the value is not available in console, but a script can do it.

Maybe because its called "console" instead of Reaconsole?

And here's a script from ReaPack that will do the inc/dec behavior:

You'll need to add Outboarders repo to the default included repos:

Absolutely unbelievable. It works like a charm.

There are days when I wish the internet had never been invented, because some people can be such assholes. Then there are times like this, when a perfect stranger takes time to help someone else for no other reason than just to be helpful.

Thanks so much for your help. I really appreciate it!
