Output going to POD rather than computer speakers

I have a Line 6 POD HD 500X into my computer by USB. I play my guitar through that. When I play something through my computer, audio file or CD, that plays through my computer. All is right with the world.

I used it like this before and loaded a backing track into Reaper and it would also play through the computer speakers. I would then play the backing track and record my guitar over it. Everything is still (was) right with the world,

Now, all of a sudden, when I load a backing track (file) into Reaper and hit play, it is going through the monitors hooked up to the POD rather than the computer speakers.

I know this is a really stupid, newbie question and probably an easy fix. But I can't figure it out. I have really tried to look over the Reaper settings. It is Windows 10 system.

Any help appreciated.

what driver are you using in preferences / audio device?
and what are it's output settings?

It was set to ASio rather than Wave Out. I don't know why it changed on me but I think I have it figured out.

Use WASAPI, less latency.
