Snap Fade Handles to Grid
This is a request have an optional behavior (shift to toggle ?) of having the fade handles snap to the grid.
Please correct me should this already be present.
I need this kind of behavior to create fades of precise lengths. Taking care of the correct length in one step is simply a lot faster than having to place the cursor, select the items you wish to fade with the marquee selection and then hitting the fade action(kb shortcut).
How soon can this be done ?
Oh and btw, here's a interesting little video of what PT does since v7. Observe the last part, which may be a nice addition to Reaper :

Can be done with scripts, but not natively.

I also wondered why the handles don't snap.

For anyone searching for this feature, it is found in the Mouse modifiers settings in the Preferences dialog.
By unchecking the "ignore snap" in the pop up menu, it makes REAPER fading behavior similar to the fade behavior in Pro Tools.

Many thanks my friend! I would have never found that option buried in there, you'd think it would be under fades/crossfades. Snapping fades is damn beautiful thing, I'm so stoked right now. Thank you!

But how cool is it to learn tricks and settings 13 years after a thread comes out ?? I also join in for the thanks. I too get excited when I choose the "right path" to solve difficulties. The same enthusiasm when I too can help someone. Thank you guys.....
