Default OSCI-bot project - Midi Fighter Twister

Concept phase.
Right now I have the midi knobs configured directly. Not sure how I'm going to do this via OSCI-bit at all, but I'm willing to take a shot.

Here's the first sketch.

Midi Fighter Twister can do all kinds of MIDI stuff and accepts commands to control its LED rings.

Are there any templates one can start out with ?

Ideas and suggestions welcome. Maybe we can make this easy to setup for other bits of kits as well.

I've got an AKAI MIDIMix recently and modified goldenarpharazon's
control surface: http://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=172908

The code was well laid out and easy to understand; the MIDIMix sends CC messages to Reaper and gets back MIDI note (?) messages for the RecArm and Mute/Solo buttons but the principle is the same.

Thank you. I'm checking it out now.

The principle might not be the same, cause midimix doesn't have endless encoders likee those on twister. Only knobs and buttons.

This idea & principle should work along with DarkStar's suggestion of adapting the MIDImix.

The Midi Fighter Twister user guide at https://s3.amazonaws.com/MF_Support_...User+Guide.pdf includes some but not all details of its Midi implementation.

Here it says "The encoder sends relative Control Change messages, a value of 65 is sent for each clockwise step, and a value of 63 is sent for each anti-clockwise step." So feedback from Reaper along with some simple increment and decrement logic based on these fader CC messages would make the encoders work.

All the device's functions seem to be based on Midi notes or CC with no sysex so OSCII-bot and some imagination should do the job.

Good luck!
