Default Nailing Your Metal Bass Tone with Parallel Processing - Tutorial

I made a tutorial! It's on how to get a great metal tone:

I'll throw in a bonus one I made a week ago, although that one's really on a beginner level:

Thanks friend for sharing this, I know nothing about this topic, so it should help mostly users in my situation. I like the sound in the background already. Lets dive into the video now. Greetings to Sweden!

UPDATE: Side tip, background hiss you can easily remove using ReaFIR!

Very cool!
The "gap" 250-500 makes sense.

It shows some modern practices, with a few of which I do not completely agree, especially for a metal bass tone.
At least I can't hear any definition of the bass notes played, just a rumble and scratching mids for the most part.

(keep in mind that the best metal bass tone for me would be Cannibal Corpse's 1994 album, or Blotted Science album... maybe I am biased because of Alex Webster).

I find Trilian bass tone similar to old-school game music. Maybe it is just the preset or the same cc level for all notes, but it sounds unnatural like a game console form early 2000s.

The notes with the LCD green font are almost illegible.
Good for numbers, not so much for letters.

I just love the fact that Metal Bass always confuses the hell out of the bass player :P "Where did my bass go?!?" Oh, it's there, just not where you'd expect...

Thanks for the feedback! There is definitely more of a wall of sound to the bass here, yes. That Trilian sounds like a synthesizer I can't really agree with though. It has a bunch of round robin samples for each velocity interval. If it sounds bad it's probably my shitty MIDI programming :-D
