Default FX monitoring on a specific channel

Dear all,

It's been 10 years I'm using reaper but this is my first post here !

At the studio we are using Reaper as our main Daw, and we are monitoring directly through the AES output of our MADIFX RME card.

I apply equilibrium as speaker fine correction on the monitoring and I would like to put it in the FX monitoring section, but it accepts only 64 channels of routing and my AES outputs are fixed at 97/98 OP.

I cannot change this routing in totalmix as it is hardwired.
I can use the monitor fx when I restrict the outputs number, but then I cannot use the other outputs.

Of course I can put the eq on the master and then bypass it when render, but it's not ideal.

Do you have any idea how I could crosspatch this or overcome this issue in Reaper?

Thanks a lot,
Best,

I know nothing about MADI.

According to this, Reaper supports up to 512 channels of input and output

https://www.reaper.fm/about.php

Each *track* supports up to 64 audio channels.

Perhaps Schwa or someone would like to chime in...
I'd see it as an issue of setting audio device options correctly in Reaper Preferences. In particular, setting output channels to 1 thru 96. Could be off base here...

I suppose the Master Track itself only can send 64 channels to the Monitor FX, but there's nothing keeping you from outputing to hardware from other tracks as well.

Thanks for your reply,

It's not a problem of the master track. Monitor FX is connected directly to the outputs of the audio device selected.

The problem is I need to use it on channels that are above the 64th, (AES pair) while still being able to use the 32 first outputs (no FX monitoring needed on them).

I don't know if there's a solution...
