The strange thing is that they removed some features from the previous version (1 distortion model, and two switches)... I'd be curious to know more about it.

What type of copy protection, if any, does this plug-in use (I wasn't able to find anything about this on the Audio Assault website)?

Audio Assault started doing dial-home (upon first launch) authorization a while ago. So if you don't see anything, that's probably what it's doing.

Note: Audio Assault and Audio Damage are two different plugin companies.

Thanks for the info.

Yuk - intrusive cp then. I didn't see anything because I didn't try it ... and won't now I know about this.

P.S. I've corrected the typo.

I'm the same way. I hate intrusive copy protection. Serials, keyfiles, or watermarking are about the only ways I'll accept. That said, they were selling a Linux Plugin, so I figured I'd make it known--not everyone feels the way I do about copy protection. :-)

Sure, I understand - it's great that you're spreading news about Linux music and audio, and many thanks for that. I just wish that all software companies would make their copy prevention policies clear. Like you, that issue weighs heavily on my decisions about what to use (and what not to use).
