* v1.4pre61 (2018-11-23)
# fix unarchive button
"unarchive" button should appear now again if you select an archived track. This bug had been introduced by a recent update handling archived versions.
The button "Show archived tracks", next to the archive/unarchive button, only displays manually archived tracks. But maybe it should also display archived (non active) Track Versions, or maybe the best would be to create another specific button for that in the Track Versions panel.

# fix crash again attempt to compare number with nil, in some cases.
hopefully... it doesn't randomly crash now. It wasn't crashing for me, for on certain configurations it could crash without reason.
@_Stevie_ yes.. that would be good to add. thanks for the suggestion.

Hello. I got interested in your Inspector script again after ages of pulling my hair out with trying to use Reaper's mixer as an inspector (doesn't display selected tracks inside collapsed folders for example..)
I donated for the VIP license a couple years back. I remember trying to use the Inspector back then and diving into the settings menu to do some customization. I made some changes that the interface didn't quite agree with and it bugged out.
IMG: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1cki...ew?usp=sharing
It also doesn't seem to follow the selected track. I couldn't find out how to fix that so I abandoned it.
I'd like to give it another try, but my version is still bugged, and I can't update it because it seems that there was an expiration date to the license.
I'm wondering how I can reset the script to default settings. The documentation mentions a "RESET ALL TO DEFAULT" button in the settings tab, but I can't see it, maybe because of the older version?
IMG: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1oRi...ew?usp=sharing
If it works now and fits my workflow, I'll gladly donate again, but I'd like to check it out first if possible because of the previous experience.
Oh, two more questions:
1. Does the script place any additional files in the project/project folder?
2. Does the script generate any hidden tracks or place effects onto tracks in order to do monitoring etc? Can it be disabled?
Essentially I'm looking for a lightweight and non-intrusive solution to replace Reaper's mixer as the track inspector, and hopefully this can be it.

Hi Sju
Yes that 1.1 is a very old version.
It doesn't create any files in the project folder. All data is saved inside the rpp REAPER file.
In the version 1.4 if you hide the meters panel it wont create any sends to hidden tracks for the metering.
You can customize which panels to show to create a more minimalistic inspector. You can also create new instances with different configurations so you can have a full inspector and a minimalistic inspector for example.

I don't understand. If you see this error when duplicating a track, you should see it also when starting track inspector.
I don't get this error. Maybe you have both dpmeter2 and dpmeter3 installed? Make sure you only have dpmeter3 vst3 installed.

Notice
Next version of dpmeter3 v1.3.2 is going to be released and it changes some thins and it is not compatible with Track Inspector VIP right now. So you may want to wait using v1.3.1 until I can update Track Inspector and Loudness Graph to be compatible with it. Thanks

Hi
I just started using this script and think it's fantastic...I have a couple questions..
1. The master track inspector doesn't show me any signal in the metering
2. how can I disable plug ins directly from the track inspector
3.Is there any videos or docs that I can read to get to know more about it's features and tricks and things?
Thx, jeff

Thank you. I was waiting for someone to make video tutorials about it...I only have time for coding it. But I guess I will have to do something about it and start doing some tutorials myself.
Meanwhile check the small documentation page https://reaper.hector-corcin.com/doc...rack-inspector
About the master instance, check the support/faq page https://reaper.hector-corcin.com/supportfaq
Disable plugins:shift click them.
There are more things in the doc page
Thanks!

Hey Hector,
found a bug in the Track Inspector. When you duplicate a track the TI doesn't follow. Although, the track is selected in the track list, the TI hasn't updated the GUI, yet. That means, that all changes are made to the original track instead of the duplicated. Would be great if there was a solution for this!

How do you duplicate the track? It works for me with the default Duplicate tracks action.

Try modify that script so that after running it the undo history has an entry named "Duplicate tracks" That will be detected by Track Inspector to refresh the track change.
like this:
reaper.Undo_BeginBlock()
...
<script code>
...
reaper.Undo_EndBlock("Duplicate tracks", 1)

only from time to time? That's strange. This happens when it cannot find the JSFX Track_Inspector. I should update it to avoid drawing the lines.
Maybe check if you have multiple "______Track_Inspector 1" tracks and delete them and restart Track Inspector.
Check that "JS: Track_Inspector" is added in "______Track_Inspector 1" track.

Ah okay, thanks! Well I couldn't really see a pattern for that behavior.
So that means, that the TI send couldn't be found.

Thanks TBProAudio for the patience
dpmeter3 update to 1.3.4 fixes a bug when updating parameters in VST2 version. So now you can use VST2 version. Since the parameters numbers in VST2 version change you have to check a setting in Track Inspector Settings page and restart Track Inspector in order to use the VST2 version parameters. If you install both VST2 and VST3 versions of dpmeter3, then REAPER will probably use VST3 version by default. But you can check in the hidden Track Inspector tracks which plugin is inserting. Since both VST2 and VST3 versions share the same plugin name "dpMeter3 (TBProAudio) (6ch)" you can rename the one that you don't want to use in REAPER FX Browser, so next time it will use the one that is named "dpMeter3 (TBProAudio) (6ch)"
It is recommended to update dpmeter3 to 1.3.4 at least if you use this update.
* v1.4pre64 (2019-02-28)
+ Support for dpmeter3 v1.3.4+
+ Support for dpmeter3 VST2 version. (check "Use dpmeter3 VST2 version" in settings page. Restart Track Inspector required after changing this setting.)

You only need it if you want to see the EBU R128 loudness meter in the inspector. If you don't want it you can disable EBUR128 in track inspector meter panel menu.

I have exactly the same problem. Tried everything you mentioned - it always appears. Can it be a bug because of the sound clipping on the track that happened once?
updt: it disappears when I remove dpmeter3 from "______Track_Inspector 1" track.
updt2: now everything is great after I renamed vst2 version of dpmeter plugin.

Ok thanks. so it seems that if both vst2 and vst3 versions are installed on some systems it uses vst3 and vst2 on others. The best way is to just install vst3 version or rename the vst2 version. If not there is a chance that the vst2 version would be used and in that case the new setting "Use vst2 version" should be checked in Track Inspector settings. The problem happens because vst2 and vst3 versions have different parameters numbers but the plugin names are named the same. So that is why the little mess.

PreFX Meter
Hi,
I have a question on what the PreFX meter does...I read the description in the manual...
Pre-FX button: This button activates the pre-fx mode of the loudness meter. The meter splits in two, where the left one is the pre-fx meter. A number appears that displays the difference in Loudness Units between pre-fx and post-fader. If you click on it, it will adjust the fader to approximately match the pre-fx level. Let it run for a bit before clicking it to calculate a more exact IL value.
So what I'm hoping it does and PLZ correct me if I'm wrong...
I just did a mix yesterday and the signal going into the MST FADER was kind of low...will this boost the signal up and give me a proper level (say 0 RMS) for my MST FADER FX?
And if so how do I do this properly and what should I be looking at in the meters...?
Thx, jeff

Ok, I think I have this ...U can use the prefader to boost the signal for MST fader and get TRKS up to proper RMS for gain staging AWESOME !!

Thanks onewayout
The prefx helps to measure the loudness before any FX on the track, so you can match the loudness after your fx if you want.
You could use this on a track that acts a pre-master before sending to master if you want. But I wouldn't use this for the master track. If you need to make it louder on the master, just use a limiter plugin on the master track, but leave the master fader at 0.0
Because the limiter will give the output limited to avoid clipping, but if the master fader is at +5 for example, then the output will clip because the fader is post fx.

clicking on the fader gain number just above the fader

@HeDa: it would be awesome, if it was possible to assign TI functions to keyboard, like: bypassing FX group 1, or showing all FX in group 1, etc...
Do you think this would be possible?

Yes it should be possible.
I was never convinced on how I did the FX groups. I don't like that the groups are numbers. I end up with some projects with different types of FX on different FX groups. lack of organization. I think it would be easier if I can put names on groups instead of numbers, but then it would be difficult to display them in a small space. There should be FX groups improvements for next v1.5 I guess if there is interest. Change FX groups colors more easily and also which additional actions that can be done to FX groups apart from bypass and show? I'm open to any ideas.
