Default unnecessary ARA saves

ARA is saving during operations that don't seem to need saving for...

like rendering?

grouping?

which actions create a new save>? maybe there could be options for this, sometimes it seems to be saving when it "feels" like it shouldn't have to...

I still haven't tracked it down I just know i didnt trim, move, or alter the material and i was getting all these saves..

I think every time Reaper autosaves the project ara save message apears.

Also still not clear on which settings produce which results, and the risks/benefits of each.

With the new Lanes stuff and ARA updates it seems like Melodyne is losing edits way less than it used to. Would be great to optimize this saves stuff cause Melodyne is such a central part of making music for so many people.

Would be great if it didn't lose edits, like ever!

Yup I still can't pin down what's happening.

I will re-tune the same exact line in the same verse like 10 times sometimes. Just, something along the way makes those specific lines lose their tuning information, it's so strange.

I suspect it's when you've created a vocal chop and manipulated it in Melodyne, and some interaction with this new Pooled Edits stuff. I'm still kind of suspicious that those things interact weirdly when opening old projects, and even going forward.

But overall it has felt more reliable.
