Default Multieffects vs Software Modelling

I use Bias FX2, Kuassa Vermilion, Matchlock & Lancaster as my main recording VST's. I've been looking at the Valeton GP200 to use as an effects pedal when playing out and for recording.

Is this a stupid GAS-driven thought, and does anyone know how sound quality between my chosen plugins and the Valeton might compare especially for recording?

Are you recording raw? Then A/B until you're happy.

I'll add to this, though... pick the multi-effects for the live abilities. If it happens to be good for recording, that's a bonus... but since you've got lots of options in the daw, let it be a secondary consideration - or not one at all.
