I listened to your mix and the only bad thing I can say is that the main guitars are way too loud and don't blend very well with the other instruments.

The rest sounds good

Thanks Dave, I really appreciate the fed back. I changed that here:

I listened to a number of my favorite Jazz recordings from the 50's and 60's as this is the period/sound I'm shooting for. Most of the soloists are very far forward in the mix, so I've tried to come as close as possible.

Any others want to comment?

Still way too loud for my tastes hahaha but you surely know that genre more than me so take my comments with a grain of salt. I would bring those guitars down 3-4 dB for sure

Hi Pete.
I think it sounds great!

Maybe a little reverb.

Great tune. Did you write that?

Regards,
Wyatt Rice

Thank you Wyatt. Means a lot to me coming from a musician of your standing. I've seen you play several times at various festivals over the years, big fan!

The tune is from Wes Montgomery. I'm doing a record of mandolin versions of 10 Wes and Buddy Montgomery originals. I'll post a couple more when I get them finished.
