Default Advanced Configuration & System Tweaks

Hey all

I have been playing around with things like 'prevent os from moving threads' and set 'working set' you know, the extra tweaks for the boffs...

Can anyone give any suggestions or experience? I mean, can you increase thread priority to the point where it becomes BAD for Reaper?

I would like to set Reaper to be as greedy as possible. Please help.

Personally I think I'm just using the defaults almost everywhere. If tweaking, then whatever you do, write down the original value (if it's not stated as a default) and only change one thing at a time! Maybe set up a test project which has a heavy FX and disc load which can't quite play without stuttering. Then fiddle with setting to see whether the stuttering goes away or gets worse. Sometimes it's easier to hear if things are ok by dropping the faders of all but one track to say -50dB, which means the tracks are being processed, but all you hear is one track and some background noise.
