Run Background Projects (Video)
Hi, I was wondering if would it be possible to run also a Video from a master project when working with subprojects. This would be a massive help for screen composers. Currently, I need to copy-paste videos for every move of the sub-project, which is very time-consuming.

unfortunately
Unfortunately Reaper does not have this feature. I've been asking for it for years. I would imagine it's not a huge deal to implement but there doesn't seem to be enough people asking for it to be a priority.

Yes, this would be a massive help. There are just a few things to be added that would make Reaper much better than the majority of scoring software and this is one of them.

question for developers
I just wanted to ask the developers, is this is a particularly difficult feature to implement?
It would make a huge difference in a lot of people's work flow and save hours upon hours of conform work.

That would make it that much more convenient to work on music for long videos/full feature films.

Thank you for implementing this and adding stop locations. So far, the prerelease is working flawlessly.

Working flawlessly for me too. Anyone know when it might be added to a main release?

A related FR that might be of interest - now that MIDI and audio loopback devices are implemented, you can route MIDI and audio between subprojects and parent projects easily which works amazingly in a film composing workflow with multiple cue subprojects & a VST host parent project. Like a native VE Pro!
However the returning audio to the subproject cannot be rendered offline (as it's a hardware output rather than a track send) so you currently have to render the returning audio online first, and then render the subproject.
