Default MIDI controlling a Morningstar ML5 via Quad Cortex

Hi guys

I currently use the Neural DSP Quad Cortex and connect my laptop to use Reaper to send MIDI patch changes via the MIDI via USB function. The goal with this was to have an entirely pedal-less set up.

It works a treat and I'm very happy with it.

I've purchased a Morningstar ML5 with the hope of implementing some less orthodox pedals into my rig.

I connected the Quad Cortex MIDI Out/Thru to the ML5 MIDI In. According to the Quad Cortex user manual, MIDI Thru can be daisy chained via the USB via MIDI function. However, no matter what I try, I can't seem to figure out how to send PC/CC changes from Reaper to ML5 nor daisy chain the MIDI signals from Reaper via the QC.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Welcome to the Reaper Forums !

For testing, You might want to loop the Midi Through back into Reaper and show the events on a new track by ReaControlMidi Log, to see if the desired messages might go to the device that is to be chained.
