Default :: Crypto :: Walter powered

Hello theme junkies,

Let me introduce "Crypto"

- Cockos color chart
- Geometrical clean design
- New transparent Item concept
- No border/slight contrast
- V3's like mixer (you should not be confused)
- full toolbar icons and more

The Walter code could be improved, but it work well anyway : )

+ Big thanks to White Tie for his amazing Themer's guide!

Enjoy!

Download

I was hoping you'd come up with a R4 theme at some point - didn't expect it quite so soon! Looks lovely! Downloading now.

It's just the beginning, actually I've built this one to learn Walter, then finally it not looked so bad so I decided to share it.
My "true" Walter project should be finished before the official R4 relase

Fine looking theme. Will give this a proper spin right now.

-edit-

The meters on the master track in the TCP do not line up with the meters on un-foldered tracks.

At low TCP widths and large TCP heights, the I/O button draws in to the track label.

Bug report.

track_env_latch displays "Read".
track_env_read displays "Latch".

track_env_touch displays "Write".
track_env_write displays "Touch".

Small bit of confusion there.

I always enjoy your themes!

I think I have my resolution set higher than you do for these screen shots - I'm at 1680x 1050

The overall look is great - just have to focus hard to read the track names. That is a biggie for me.

Thank You,
DM

When it comes time to choose some "stock" themes to include with v4.0, Crypto should make the cut. I am going to be using it as the default theme in the REAPER 4 alpha/betas going forward.

Nice job!

Looks great!!
Like it a lot

I can't seem to show pans on top in the MCP-panel?
Also, is pan missing from TCP-panel?

Default Crypto 1.1

- track_env fixed

I updated it in the Stash but the name won't be refreshed so it still named Crypto 1.0

You can download it from the first post.

Very nice, thanks a lot for sharing. Would be cool to have a width fader in the mcp.
Can't wait to see your "true" v4 theme !

This looks great but I think the fader positions need to stand out more - as it is a quick glance at the mixer doesn't immediately convey the positions of all the faders.

I love this skin but Key Signature is missing, and track VU meters are missing when minimised

I like this theme very much. It is close to the default color scheme and it's really usable.
Please keep up the good work.
I don't know if someone has tried a Reaper 4 theme in Reaper 3. Most of this one seems to work in Reaper 3 as well. OK, there are a few pink lines visible...
I'd like to have it as my default theme in Reaper 3, as long as I'm waiting for Reaper 4 . Maybe there is a way to fix the pink lines...

Sorry Makai but this theme can't be used into R3.
As you've noticed it use some pink lines that can't be read by R3.

By the way Crypto will be updated really soon.

Nice and clear looking theme, thanks Silent!

Without custom icon library, even text icons could do for a moment...but there is something to be re-considered, maybe:

you can change the color of the toolbar button text. Take a look at Preferences> theme Editor> toolbar buttons text
If you want to respect the color scheme you can type [58 64 63] as RGB value.

I'll fixe that in the forthcoming update.

haha, didn't even look that far into that, thanks for the tip Silent! Easy enough to change in preferences,
but better visibility right at the get go is even better.

Nice work

Looks and works really well , the only thing a little out of place is the mcp_param_bg but really loving this theme.

Loving it so much started doing a little rework of the mcp

That's true Jedstar, but actually tcp/mcp use the same "background".png for parameters, so I can't make it look better for now.

Ohh year I'd forgotten that . It would be great if there was additional control over these parts as I would love to have them available from the tcp.

I guess allot of people don't use the param in the mcp but I find it very useful.

You could use two files one in the default theme folder and another in a layout folder then just set up a layout for the mcp that points at this folder.

Great work with the code it looks like you've gotten allot out of this.

I manged to squeeze a little out of the mcp so it includes labels and a clearer IO panel and made the hight static at 270 pixels . Hope you don't mind me posting it hear as I think I'm just going to add it as a "layout".

Thanks Jed
