Default Mix advice requested...

All ITB recording everything atm and so setting up some good project templates is a good thing bc thats the beauty of ITB right? -the consistency of it, the presets dont wander off the mark like hardware dials...

...anyhoo so the link below [wip among many] is typical of the setup I'm running on a bunch of songs atm. Im keen to hear any and all suggestions mix-wise, and prolly esp about EQ and Compression, so have at it if you will, its pretty much presets plus some compression added here and there atm, thanks in advance.

Listening on headphones (it's night here right now) loudness feels all over the place, like there's super ham fisted limiter kicking in, with audibly long release time.

Could well be ZK, its a lump of rough clay atm, I mightve bunged one on the master track or it could be the inconsistent amount of doubling on one or more tracks or both, + I didn't *dial* any compression, just yanked on faders, I'll sort that somewhat and repost, will have to be later today though, thanks.

Ive done nothing. Thats what the lyric in the song is about, takes me too long to make stuff happen sometimes...

I will repost it though in near future bc project templates are gonna allow for much more time on the music...

for one thing, the rhythm guitar could be much louder and maybe tinkle with the eq on the vocs to counter the fx. Best part of the song for me was that weirdly multi-effected lead.

Thanks for the comments guys. There'll be a new other version one day soon inc reworked bassline...

@Sammy To quote Jorgen, Im a preset kinda guy haha, generally, but I do dial the sounds if theres imo no preset that quite cuts it, I dialled the Doggone Blues lead for instance, for this number I think I'm using the 'House Burning Down' S-Gear preset.
