You want me to send you my rocked up cocaine?

Oh wait....I misread. I thought the title read "Send In Your Crack".

Now I see it says, "SAND In Your Crack".

Wait........WHAT????

Great song.
I think the vox could be louder though.
I lack an overall brightness

I think the song is really good, especially the title.

Don't like the guitar tone too much, no juice just fizz. That would be my main negative I guess.

I liked the snappy little ending.

Thanks !!

And yeah my guitar tone sucks ass.

I tracked this song and all the tunes I've posted without an external, pci or any additional after market interface. Just been going direct through the blue line-in on my motherboard...
(Not sure that's really a viable excuse for crappy tone)

However, just TODAY I picked up an entry level interface haven't had a chance to hook it up and check it out yet. Hope it helps a little

Agreed here - Instead of adding more gain to get "that sound", try backing the gain down and use a Tube Scream or overdrive to "goose" the tone. This tightens up the low end and adds sustain without more "fizz". I'd also turn the treble or presence down a bit.

Vox remind me a bit of Halford - cool!

I agree with this. Try putting the TSE 808 plugin in front- dialed about 12o'clock. I reckon that'd give you a fuller tone, not just all-bottom-end.
I'm assuming you are using ampsims?

But very cool song regardless...

Hey Thanks guys for the critique and good tips !!! Much appreciated...

I actually use a Tube Screamer in front of my rig as you both suggested. However I recorded this with a Korg Pandoras box. The Pandora isn't necessarily to blame though. That of course falls to me. I knew the guitar sounded like shit but thought I could "fix it" in the mix. NOT !!! I'm currently re tracking with my rig.

I gotta stop being such a hack

I think it's finally sunk in that good sounding recordings are obtained by recording good sounds. Dialing in tones, listening, checking or understanding how/if things work in the mix, preparation period is as important a playing.

Hey flicker I appreciate you exerting the effort of trying to find something about the song that you could consider to be of socially redeeming value. A lot of folks, when they don't care for, agree with or understand something wouldn't even try. So hats off to you for attempting to keep an open mind.

Interesting Legal Note:

Holding the song to the scrutiny and parameters of "The Miller Three Prong Obscenity Test" (which is the United States Supreme Court's test for determining if a work is offensive/obscene or if it has "socially redeeming value") one finds that it is without doubt the song does legally possess "socially redeeming value".
Awesome right? But is the song socially relevant? The United States Supreme Court doesn't have a test to judge social relevance. I can only hope "Sand In Your Crack" comes to be as socially relevant as 'Coconut' by Harry Nilsson -

SAND IN YOUR CRACK

You cant stand on both sides of the fence
your on the wrong side it don't make no sense
no matter how you got there I dont care
off to my ocean side pad I'll take you there
with all the rhyme and reason that i got
anytime of season cool or hot
so get down low fall to your knees
like volcanos we'll blow moonlight ocean breeze

getting sand in your crack
and up and down your back
sand in your crack
there ain't no turning back
sand in your crack
it blows it out of whack
sand in your crack
there ain't no turning back

made a line in the sand and I dare you to cross
free yourself from yourself come with me and get lost
got everything you need to spice up your style
got one kind of sauce baby hot no mild
with all the rhyme and reason that i got
anytime of season cool or hot
so get down low fall to your knees
like volcanos we'll blow moonlight ocean breeze

getting sand in your crack
and up and down your back
sand in your crack
there ain't no turning back
sand in your crack
it blows you out of whack
sand in your crack
there ain't no turning back

once you've come you'll never be the same
change of plans even change your name
like I said it'll change your life
you'll never want to leave this here paradise

getting sand in your crack
and up and down your back
sand in your crack
there ain't no turning back
sand in your crack
it blows you out of whack
sand in your crack
there ain't no turning back

once you've come you'll never be the same
change of plans even change your name
like I said it'll change your life
you'll never want to leave this here paradise
lose your inhabitions resonate with the earth
euphoric awakening a spiritual rebirth
feel the energy static sparks in the air
like heat from the sun it's everywhere

get some sand in your crack
and up and down your back
sand in your crack
there ain't no turning back
sand in your crack
blows you out of whack
sand in your crack
there ain't no turning back
sand in your crack
and up and down your back
sand in your crack
there ain't no turning back
sand in your crack
blows you out of whack
sand in your crack
there ain't no turning back

that new mix is better...

.

the point I was making, badly, is that it's a matter of reach... assuming you're trying to reach the max possible audience...

there are people who don't like that kind of music, but they still want to hear what you have to say... but they cant figure out what you're saying because the music wipes out the words...

maybe you'd reach more people if they could read the song without having to listen to it...

.

I guess it could be, though, that you're not concerned about max reach... maybe you're trying to polarize people...

I don't like the idea of polarizing people because we can get a lot more done if we work together...

but maybe the disintegration has gone too far already

.

the gynecological implications of this song are not so good...

...speaking as someone who has limited but telling experience screwing in sand piles

...but if women are okay with this song, that's okay with me

I fully understand that having sex in/on sand can cause unpleasent issues for all parties involved. But you Guys have your minds in your shorts..........

LOL.......... Sand in your crack......... is a drink

A mixed alcoholic beverage......using 2 types of rum (Malibu and Captain Morgans)some pineapple juice and some cranberry juice. It's a stronger version of sex on the beach(another mixed alcoholic drink)

The songs is pretty wholesome really........

I used to have a place in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico right on the beach.Great place !! My girl in California at the time wanted to come visit me but she had heard bad things about Mexico and was a little affraid to come down. The song just sums up what I told her at the time.

"If you want to see me you got to come down here. I'll pick you up from the airport, take you to my house, we'll have some drinks, you'll love it here. You really need to relax. the weathers great drinks are strong, you'll never want to leave"

Sand in your crack !!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for all the comments everyone !!

sometimes it doesn't
