Default Editing midi files like audio

I usually make a 4 bar midi loop and then duplicate it all over the place. But when I change the ONE midi item - ALL duplicated midi items change... How could I disable that?? I want that reaper threats every midi duplicate as a new midi file - so if i change one - other midi duplicates are not linked to this one.

can somebody help?

thanks but this does not work. Whatever is checked - lets say IF I MUTE a note in a midi item - in ALL duplicates this note will be muted. NO mather if this option is checked or not.

Your items being already pooled, this will work for future copies.
In the meanwhile, select all your midi items and glue them, this should now work.

EDIT : I advise you to use "X-Raym_Glue selected items independently.eel" (available via Reapack) to avoid merging your midi items.

Unchecking the pool preference works, but only for the copy/paste actions. If you are doing the copying with mouse (& modifiers), check your mouse modifier settings in Preferences.
