Default Mixing theme elements?

Old Cakewalk user (like 15 years ago) and Reaper newbie here... having fun and amazed at this program.

Anyway, is there a way to use only part of a theme?

I really like the transport in some of the Imperial themes, and would like to use it with a different theme, or the even the default.

On a related topic, how can I dock the transport so it's always visible at the top of the screen, even if I have the mixer or MIDI editor open in "full" screen?

Welcome to the forums calan.

You can mix together elements from different themes. You could e.g. replace the current transport images with the ones from another theme. Depending on those themes, you would likely need to edit given parameters in rtconfig file too. Also depending on the themes, it can get complicated.

Here's what White Tie has said about that.

you could gather all the elements needed for a layout and:
- put them in a subfolder named for the layout
- copy the layout code from the donor theme's RTconfig into the receiving RTconfig.
- change the layout code to point to new folder (or add the folder to the code).
