Default Focusrite 18i20v1 Driver

I have a Focusrite v1 18i20. I have seen online that newer drivers work with the 18i20 gen 1. But I have heard some can be buggy.
Do any of you guys have first hand knowledge of this? If you can share what you are using that would be great, thanks.

Use Scarlett MixControl 1.9b10 and Focusrite USB2 Drivers 3.2.2 from http://beta.focusrite.com/

Install in that order

Oh cool, thanks bro. Is there anything else about that set up I need to know? It is stable and such? Thanks for your time helping a old deaf blind man.

edit: Do I need to uninstall my old drivers as well?

OK I installed just as you said. Everything is working. HOLY COW, I am running 5ms no prob at all!
Is this really right? Not sure if it is stable yet. The real test will be when I track vocal tomorrow and I will track with live verb and compression on it. Really stress it.

Anything else I need to know to make it stable or anything?

Also, Pre Zero out buffers, on or off?

Ignore ASIO messages, on or off?

Thanks for your help! I am blown away with all these new options.

That's great. It's been a stable config for me for years. I wouldn't stray from Reaper's default settings unless you have problems or really know what you're doing

This set up has really blown my mind. My latency can go far lower than I actually need it to be. And I have not had it crash or artifact.

You say stable for years, why not go on to no beta? Are they it as stable? I wonder why they have not made fhese official for 18i 20.

And second, how did you find this trick? Focusrite doesn't have a forum. They recommend older drivers. Did you find this yourself or a place on the net?

Thanks for yourhelp. I am loving this setup. I track vocals totally dry and give the singer lush reverb and eq. And my rig doesn't even blink.
