A Little Confused About Reapitch

Still quite new to reaper so please be kind!
I started using reapitch and is working great
now I have an audio guitar track that modulates up a semitone part way thru.
what is the best way to do this?
my only thought is to create a 2nd track and do the transposing there...is this right or is there a better way?

Hi

Select media item.
Use shift + 0 and shift + 9 to pitch up/down 1 semitone
Or Shift + 8 and 7 to up/down 1 cent

You can change pitch algorithm by right clicking on audio item > item properties > Take pitch/stretch mode.

sure beats the way I used to do it in pro tools 8.
