Sorry if this is answered already, I did a search & didn't come up with anything...

Is is possible to time stamp midi like the audio files???

It'd help me to figure out when a track/take was recorded...

Thanks!!!

This is new to me but, if you go to Preferences>Media>MIDI and tick "Create new MIDI items as .MID files", there's a tick box "Prompt to confirm file name...". You will be prompted for a save location and then you'll have a time stamped file.

The way that my Reaper display is set up, the item in the track control panel shows only the date and the name of the file but there may be a way to display more info in the project.

Awesome man, that did the trick...I'd looked for that for days, & it was right under my nose...

It displays the track name, date & time like the wav files, so that's exactly what I was looking for...

Thanks!!!
