Default Posihfopit v. Reaper & Electri-Q group buy decision

ho reaperFolk!

newbie here. please forgive my trespasses. :^)

first off: thanks Justin! awesome work. Reaper flows.

i'm deciding (at the last minute) whether to join a group buy of the Electri-Q vst eq plugin over at KVR:

http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=140976

Posihfopit, by one of the Electri-Q developers, is a "most favored eq" for me. alas, it hangs Reaper and pegs the cpu usage regularly during longer edits. is this common? have any of you used Electri-Q for longer than the trial version's 5 minute limit? that version hasn't crashed for me so far, but it usually takes more like 15-20 minutes of tweaking/toggling to crash Posihfopit.

(and for those that might be interested, the current group buy price is 54,90euro/~$70, and might drop another 5euro. details near the end of the above thread.)

enjoy! /dan

I've not had any problems with Posihfopit in the 24 hrs that I've had it, but it's enough for me, thanks.

I use Posihfopit (an older version, v1.21) occasionally and have never had any problems in Reaper.

thanks for the feedback folks. joined the Electri-Q group buy w/ a bit more confidence. also couldn't get Posihfopit to crash when i tried yesterday.

Art, care to say why Posihfopit gets a pass? &/or what's better? i'm using it for mastering & sonic surgery, where it seems to have some unique abilities, at least for a free vst.

enjoy! /dan

Yeah, I expressed that really badly - I mean, Posihfopit is fine for me, I don't feel the need for the Electi-Q version. I'm starting to use Posihfopit in my projects now. Its interface "fits" me nicely.
