Kontakt 4.2
This is so trivial but I must figure out a way to get rid of the FX Window when I just want to view Kontakt.
I keep getting this FX window with Kontakt on top and I have to click and delete the underlying FX window and it's a PITA.
Is there a way to just view Kontakt w/o these unnecessary moves...?
FWIW, I have tried pinning Kontakt, and I can't seem to just get Kontakt to show itself without this annoying shadow following it around..
Thanks...

If you have the mixer open, click on the button for Kontakt 4, that should open the plugin separately.
Is that what you are after?

I tried opening K4 from the MCP instead of the TCP and still get the underlying window.
It seems convenient if you're going to add a Native FX, or JS, etc.
But I simply want to route audio out into a DSP app where I mix and add FX.
I am successful with that, but I was hoping I could just open up Kontakt without the extra window that hinders my view.
Thanks 4 The Reply....

unless it's a bridged vsti... just db clk the name in the fx chain window and the gui for the vsti will float... then close the fx chain window

It's K 4.2.3 x64, so there's no bridge.
But I do used a bridged VST called SilentWay and when I click on the FX from the TCP or MCP, it shows me the plug in without this extra window.
I dbl clk'd the name on the left side in the extra pane and it disappears, but I was hoping whenever I want to call up Kontakt I can see the plug in instead of this extra window being attached to it. Just like Silentway appears.
I still don't understand why Kontakt 4 is considered an effect anyways.
Why not have a button we hit to see the VSTi and disable this annoying FX window...? And FX Chains......? Jeez, is that for having several effects in serial or something...?
If this isn't possible it's cool, as supposedly my DSP effects will able to show up there when I get this XTC/VSTIM thing straightened out.
I am suppose to be able to fully integrate Scope DSP in to Reaper. That means calling up the GUI for all synths, and all associated effects and the Modular Mixers I use.
Anyways,
Thanks for helping Hopi....

Right-clicking the FX button should show you a list of effects loaded on that track. Select Kontakt 4 and it will open floating without FX window.

It's RADO 4 with GreyMatters Toolbar, and ED's Colors, although I hadn't colored the tracks yet in that view.
Below is a shot of the project window from Scope DSP being hosted by Reaper and having Silentway Suite for audiorate modulations, and Kontakt for samples.
This is an ongoing project to replace the hardware sequencer and HD 24/96's we currently use.
Using Scope DSP I route in hardware effects and Analog synths, and then spit out Reaper tracks w/ seperate IEM mixes.
I have a long way to go, but the hardware needs to be replaced.
And the 4U DAW's will be replaced by a laptop and the XITE-1 1U DSP rack.
So I need help from you guys for the next 2 months as I learn new tricks.

Right-click, alt-click, shift-click, ctrl-click everything. It makes such a difference to your workflow.

yes, but here, as hopi said, the good old "double click" works like a charm to float the selected fx.
