Default Renaming and deleting files

Hi there,

wav-files created by REAPER contain take #, date and time. It might be helpful to add extensions to these filenames like “drums”, “bass” etc. for the optimation of the workflow.

By renaming files with windows explorer REAPER will not recognize files by opening projects.

Question 1:
How can I rename the files? ("Delete" in REAPER will not cause deletion in the folder)

Along with recording a song numerous tracks will be recorded which are not longer used, i. e. these tracks could be deleted and thus should not be shown in the project any more.

Question 2:
What is the best way to delete individual tracks within the folder?

Could you please give me some tips?

I'm not sure about the renaming function (although I think in-app file renaming would be a great feature), I believe the Project Directory Cleanup option in the File menu will help with your second issue. It shows which files aren't used by the active project and will trash them for you. Very handy!

1k thanks for that! But what do you mean by in-app?
