Default I can automate anything but not bypass?

Hello, Hi, Goodmorning etc..

Tonight I automated some things. I wanted to have a filter enabled on only a segment of the song, so I went in latch mode, played the song, ticked my filter when needed and bypassed it after 4 bars. when playback, it didn't turned it on and off. I thought I would choose another automation mode, but all explanation of the modes refer to faders.

How you guys would do it?

Thanks!

You can click on the "env" button of the track where the eq is placed. Now you see a list of all parameters. One of the last ones is "Bypass" click on the checkbox and check, whether "Visible" is checked also (it should). If it's not, check it as well. Depending on your settings you now see an envelope (in this case a straight horizontal line on the track or in an extra lane below the track. Pull the line up to the max. Now select the range where the eq should be active and pull the fader left of the lane in the TCP to the left. The horizontal line will move down in the selected area. when releasing the fader, it will go back to its mid position. To be sure bypass is off (i.e. eq is on) do it twice so the line in the selected range is at the bottom.

HTH
