its a simple, common sense point... its very presumptious to assume someone hasn't paid for a license just because they have a screenshot without a license on it..

facepalm..

As clever as you may think you are, my comment had nothing really to do with me. Its a shame that Albert is getting a hard time when he has put more effort into the Reaper community than most everyone here.

Edit: based on your posts in the "other" thread, I think we are of the same opinion on this topic. Maybe theres just a misunderstanding

Either way.. Im done here.

I look forward to this theme.. But i sorta have my heart set on the logic theme thats on the backburner.

Ok guys, why don't we just get back to the "waiting for a new release" feeling?

Indeed, this rant is much better to be just skipped. Otherwise this will go over and over again upsetting Albert. And that surely won't do!

I am posting from my work Laptop which has an unregistered copy that i use to kill time at work by playing with themes, testing free vst's, changing layouts, keyboard shortcuts, ETC.

I could register it but I dont see the point. My DAW PC and my tracking laptop have registered copies.

That is all. I am back to waiting Albert's next revision.

Same here - work laptop where I enjoy opening up Reaper from time to time at lunch to try something out I've read in a forum, or to just dick around with.

Albert for some reason I can't push solo and mute buttons in the mixer only works in TCP. Beautifull theme by the way.

Hey Albert.. how can you possibly use Cubase when you got Reaper, PLUS this theme?!?!

On a serious note, how do i get the 2 channel strips like that on main arrange page?

Yes Alpha 2. When I click it once in a while (once every 20 click) turns solo or mute on. Also it messes up pan. it's like decrease pan one increment at a time.

  • In mixer tab right click > Master Track > select 'Show in Mixer' and 'Show in Docker'
  • Drag 'Mixer Master' tab to right side of screen
  • Drag 'Mixer'tab to left side of screen

It works better on Mac but still not quite well. I can actually change pan settings by draging the mute button...Maybe you can send again the file is maybe corrupted or something.

Looking very cool now. My preference is to keep the TCP (silver)area darker shade (or all Layout adjustment. Some very popular and great Themes are a bit of a turn off with large areas of light (often silver/grey) areas which contrast just too much with 'calming' darker panels.

Can't please everyone, so just passing this on as my input.

Take care!

Perfect. As for the the silver area being darker, I thought maybe when using track colors this would contrast nicely.

For me, doesn't need much ..... even the Mixer (selected) Channel color (subtle yellow)... as shown above .. is preferred.

What i was trying to say was the silver would contrast nicely with the opaque track coloring option. I think as it is now is perfect.

I kinda feel like the new Parent/Child relationship graphics are not quite as clean/clear as your old protools theme Albert, just to compare here:

The old one seems more definite and clean. Would be interested to know how you feel about that also?
I think it might just be the triangle(s) you can see first on the new theme screen capture that cause me some issue

This might also be fixed with your new attention to contrast.. I think maybe I need to check out the next release from you to see possible bugs/cleanup in the 'triangles' part, and also to comprehend your new thinking on contrast direction for v3.

As always, great stuff!

Cheers
Thal

That inspector is a work of art. Do you actuslly have all that functioning or is that a mockup? I dont know if ive seen that level of customization in a theme yet. Is that due to new 5.0 features?

Basically this all, is not a mockup .. even I have to design active buttons and other things.
really it can be used in version 4.
to do some things....., and do some weird things with the elements, but it works
