Default Removing/reducing reverb from a stem?

I think I know the answer to this question, but is there any way to remove or even reduce the amount of reverb on a stem? I have some a capella voice tracks that were drenched in reverb - I would like to remove or reduce this if possible. Thanks in advance for your help.

There are some things that you can do actually. It may not be perfect, but it can yield some decent results. Try something like Transient Monster from Stillwell Audio. Free eval, like Reaper. Here it is....It is typically used to accent transients, like on drums, but works great on shortening transients and sustain, like on drenched reverb. There are a few other similar plugins, but I own and use this one and can't remember the names of the others.

Here's what you're looking for,

It works alright, I've used it a couple of times.

Same principal as Transient Monster. This is one of the other ones that I couldn't remember the name of.

You might try an expander too. ReaXComp with ratios < 1:1 might be worth a try (turn the output down first though, it can get loud )
