JSFX Plugin: Analyze MIDI timing, Feedback with colors
This is a tool for checking how good your timing is, and (hopefully) for improving your timing, using visual feedback.
As default, it measures the relative distance to exact 16th notes.
Each event (as default, the note-on event of a played note or chord) is shown in a new line.
In the right half of the plugin window, the relative distance to the exact 16th is shown graphically (displacement left or right) and with color. Green is perfect (0%), red is the worst (between 16ths, 50%), yellow is in the middle (default).
In the left half of the plugin window, the position (16th) in the measure is shown.
The number in the bottom right is the average (to be exact: root mean square) of the displacement.
Instructions: you have to place it in your FX chain, before the VST.
You have to be playing or recording.
