Default Event List doesn't open/update all selected MIDI items

edit: probably solved somehow, see below

===
original post:

In the gif I first select all visible MIDI items on the track, double-click (assuming they are now all opened in the MIDI Editor/Event List as I've Preference set: Behaviour for "open items in built-in MIDI editor": Open all selected items).

At 0:07 I select all events and set channel to 4. But when I afterwards open the last item separately, it can be seen there are still events on Channel 1 (I would have assumed all events are set to Channel 4 now). Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug ?

edit:
Additional relevant settings:
- One MIDI editor per project
- Options when using one MIDI editor per project: Selection is linked to editability

(Side question: I wanted to use this to set all events of selected items to a certain MIDI channel. Since it doesn't seem to work this way, what's the quickest way to do this ?)

I think I now understand what's going on:

Event list doesn't list events of all editable items, but only of the currently active item.

Since (till now at least) I took the Event list just as a different visual representation of the Piano roll, this doesn't seem quite right to me and I'd think it should list contents of all currently editable items or ?

It does but one track at a time unless you are using a multitask MIDI editor in which case I dunno but as is it won't list multiple takes in parallel like you want.

Bump.... +1

This is half broken. As you mentioned... it is very tricky to get this to work.

The only way I was able to do it is to run 2 scripts in a single custom actions:

Options: MIDI track list/media item lane selection is linked to editability
Options: Avoid automatically setting MIDI items from other tracks editable

Then the MIDI Note Properties works.

However, scripts (like transposing) won't. But you can move notes on multiple Items.

It's very convoluted to get it to 1/2 work.... but it won't with many basic actions. Very frustrating.... unless someone can show otherwise.

Thanks for support, but slightly different issues there I think.
This report addresses Event list only, relevant request for scripts would be this one:
