No update -> Error opening for writing

Hi there,

while updating reaper the following message comes up:

"Error opening for writing:
c:\programm files\reaper (x64)\reaper.exe
Click Abort ….."

What might I do?

Make sure REAPER is not running (or still hanging in Task Manager) before you run the installer.

Oh yes, just that was done. Reaper was closed and no reaper in the task manager.

Even so the error message makes me confused. What might be the reason?
