The MIDI love added into this release is very much appreciated! Being able to move the MIDI notes for drum programming is a godsend.

View: Show all note rows
or any of the other View: note row actions I guess, except of course, View: Show custom note row view.

Hmmm, Seems to reset the order and hide I have to run View: Show all note rows first, then run say, View: Hide unused note rows

Maybe a good idea is to save a version with all notes in the default order so that it is re-callable?

[Solved] No sound from right side.
EDIT: Solved!
It was the "preferences > device > Output Range" settings. First and last were both set to "1" rather than first="1" and last="2"
No idea how that got changed, but that's what it was. Thanks anyway.
Original post:
I am only getting sound from the left side. I installed 6.37 (portably) right over 6.36 (portable) and changed nothing. Tried practicing with my guitar using Reaper + Amp sim via a pre-saved "practice profile", and only get sound from the left speaker. Fired up a brand new project and dropped a stereo mp3 onto a default track, no effects, or anything, and it only plays from the left.
For experimentation, I renamed the install folder and brought my version 6.36 folder back and did the same thing and I get stereo sound as normal.
If some setting got changed, I can't find it. Everything says it is in stereo ouput mode, but nothing will come out of the right side, panning right just mutes it.

Is there a way to have different settings for different "notename" files?
It seems that the settings are saved with the Reaper project file - but they remain the same no matter which "notename" file is loaded.
I have various notename files for different drum kits - but they're all a little different. It would be great if the rearranged note names could be loaded with each file.

Where is View: "Show custom note row view."?
EDIT - nevermind, I found it. My "custom" menu wasn't showing it. This is an issue, actually, as new features and menu options get added, they don't show up on "customised" menus.

Maybe it's a better idea to create a 4 channel IR file from the two ("L" and "R") stereo impulse files. I suppose Reaper can generate 4 channel WAV file that then be used by ReaVerb ?!?

v6.37 - October 12 2021
- + MIDI editor: add custom note order/visiblity mode (ctrl+drag note key in named notes view)
- + MIDI editor: import/export of note names includes custom-view ordering information if set
MANY thanks.
Just saw this update yesterday.

What is related and would be useful for notation is that individual note instances would be hidable. Not pitches, but individual notes.

So you can set The order - and then load name files in to it.
All name files will load with the same order.
So now we have to work out how to set multiple re-orders ie different ones for different name files.
