Default Deals - BF Season

Some sites have lists, so here are two links I keep around to check every few days.

https://bedroomproducersblog.com/202...k-friday-2020/
https://vi-control.net/community/thr...-sales.100595/

Personally, my favorite deal is the sale on Blackrooster Audio. Plugins for 10-18 Euros each. I already had the VLA-3A and loved that. Picked up the BlackAsh SC-5 and Magnetite for my personal needs. Nice kit and a damn steal at 14 Euros each.

More, more --- we need moooore!

I find this particular offer interesting:

https://www.pluginboutique.com/produ...=5241029371df5

Does anybody have experience with Izotope's plugs in Reaper?

And, by the way, keep them offers comming :-)

Yeah, I wasn't planning on getting any sale plugins but I couldn't resist the deal for the All Bundle for $99

iZotope is terrific ... great deal. RX alone is well worth it to clean up bad recordings, remove noise in post, etc.

RX is a must have in my opinion if you're doing audio/post work and often have to deal with poorly captured (or otherwise less than optimal) audio. Nothing else I've tried over the years comes remotely close. Got it a few months back and instantly regretted not doing that years ago.

I purchased the Holiday bundle. It is a no brainier really. Works great in Reaper.

Also been thinking of grabbing a plugin or 2 from Black Rooster Audio. I'm interested in the Pultec EQ. Also curious of the LA-2A if it is any good or not.

This is a great deal too, if you are into cello. Tina Guo is a superstar, and this VST was recorded particarly well.

I have most of Izotope's stuff. I can't imagine working without it, especially RX8, Ozone, and Tonal Balance.

I went with a Metric AB from plugin alliance for $29. Suggested by some one here Halloween.

Two more codes coming so maybe I'll get the Maag EQ or something.

That Izotope producer bundle for $42 is really good - all those plugins are great.

Both links in the first post are updated every day.

I‘ve got my eye on the Lindell Series 80 (channel strip) for $29 plus tax at Plugin Alliance, with promo code BFD1-2999. (That code runs out on 11:59 Nov 26th California time but they're putting out another after that) -edit Lots of plugins are still $29.99. Some great stuff from Lindell IMHO.

-edit-
Yo, the Lindell Series 80 is one fine channel strip. Great preamp, comp, eq and gate. Sounds wonderful on dialogue already. If it's anything even remotely like the 8128 I used, this is going to be even more fun on music. Great sound.

As for the Izotope holiday bundle for $49, it‘s probably one of the tastiest bargains this year. I have most of that stuff already but depending on what you do, that bundle is ALWAYS worth it.

Audio Assault has everything for $7. I like their Headcrusher compressor, and their other stuff looks good although I haven't tried it.

SOnarworks reference system is great! I use it and have profiles both for my speakers and my headphones.

I use their headphone plugin. Great for a clean check. Don't use it for speakers since I'm mixing with those speakers because of their sound.

It´s not about the monitors (Neumann KH 120 which are phenomenal) it´s about the room which is treated but not ideal.

Aurora choir for sale at $40.

Perhaps not the greatest virtual choir but at $40, it's an offer you can't refuse.

Indeed, priced as if to encourage piracy!
What a shame they are still priced so ludicrously high.

Disagree. They are still cheap at full price. The software is absolutely some of the best out there (competition from Samplemodeling only, who don't have woodwinds, and requires Kontakt).

Picked up a few more Waves plugins today. Here's my code for anyone who wants to save 10%.

Wow okay, I look at the prices of entry level new and even decent quality second hand real instruments for comparative value (that's on the wind instruments - the strings are nowhere near as convincing).
Don't get me wrong, I show interest in them because they are some of the best out there, for me that's still not enough to justify the prices. As we can see YMMV.
I will have to stick to much cheaper Kontakt and free Reaktor wind & breath controller instruments.

That's all I would really want from them to be honest. Not even the package of Saxophones, just the one good one would do.
I believe* they probably make the best virtual saxophones in terms of playability rather than programming for wind and breath controllers.
Happy enough in terms of the other virtual brass and wind instruments - though I probably would buy extra Swam instruments if they had been priced to sell.

*guesswork as they seem to not have enough faith in their product to produce demo versions to convince the fence sitters!?

I went for some useful stuff too on Waves.

https://www.waves.com/r/n94h45
For anyone that wants an extra 10% off.

Remember though, the update plan stuff is fairly meh, especially for Mac users where the MacOS versions can make a Waves Update Plan necessary. There are plenty of alternatives out there.

Little late to the party as usual, but if you've got the price of a drink left you can get some pretty nice gear at:

https://www.hornetplugins.com/

Highlights: ThirtyOne balancing EQ, instant clarity for troublesome sources or mixes; Total EQ, 12 band visual parametric, clean or character, standard or dynamic, stereo or M/S, all per band, EQ, hence total; more more more, channel strips, mastering tools, tape emulation, etc. etc. Good stuff, crazy good at these prices. This kinda thing wasn’t available anywhere at any price just a few years ago. Sale through 12/2, or 2/12 depending.
