There is a bunch of threads coming up like this recently.
When you change to a new DAW which assumes your VST/VSTi will be in a certain location (usually Steinberg/VSTplugins) it will not find anything that is stored elsewhere unless you tell it where to look.

As a matter of habit I have a folder on my C: drive called "plugins" and that is where all the files, but especially the actual plugin ".dll" files, go.

If you go look on your hard drive in the root directory, any program files labelled "Steinberg" or (since I believe DevilLok needs a waves dongle)"Waves"

Once you find the missing files you can either just move them all into your central plugin repository and re-scan when you next open Reaper or you can add the path to where you found the missing plugins to Reapers VST window and re-scan that way.

I had the same problem with Soundtoys and found the missing plugins in the fxpansion folder. No idea why Soundtoys plugins choose this location while installing but they did.

Thanks
but it seems that the path to VST folder is not the problem.
Devil-Loc.dll and Devil-Loc_Deluxe.dll are in correct place in VST folder.
The others SoundToys plugins work OK.
The licence is on my iLok.

What else could be wrong?

cheers

Ok
I managed to fix the problem.
I found the solution here:
http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/printv...316545&start=0
If anyone has a similar issue do this:

Find your reaper-vstplugins.inifile (in the Application Data folder) and make a back-up copy.

Delete the Devil_Loc.dll and Devil_Loc_Deluxe.dll lines, save the file recsan plugin folder in Reaper.

Now it works

cheers

milo

and
Merry Christmas
