Its not loud enough.

Put an eq on the master bus,hi pass about 47 hz.I used to hi pass at 40hz until the mighty YEP tipped that 47 is more like it.

Then put a compressor after it .Google master bus compression.

The song is really great though!

The guitar solo is FUCKING BRILLIANT.

You need to compress the whole thing and it'll grow grow grow

seems hi pass would take out most of the frequency spectrum! Or I'm missing something (which is quite possible) do you mean a hi shelf? I did that and it seemed to lively up things some. There's already quite a bit of compression in the various tracks, (esp the bass, he was all over the place dynamically) but I'll definitely dig in on the master buss compression ( which I have been kind of averse to trying).

Cool song! I really like this.

I'm also getting all mono. It does make it hard to comment on the mix if this was accidental.

I can say at this point though, that I'm not getting the sense that this needs an overall high pass (yes, he meant high pass - I think you are confusing this with a low pass). The low end doesn't sound out of whack to me. I suppose it can't hurt, but there aren't any sub bass frequencies that are hurting anything here. Personally, I don't apply anything by default, HP or otherwise, but then again, I don't know much, really.

doh, it was late, mixing up my his and lows. As far as the mono thing, I'm not sure why that would be, and yes it would be accidental. But such an accident may have occurred, ha, as I hear the same mix coming out of each speaker individually. thx for noticing, I will have to get to the bottom of this.

alright, or should I say

alright alright.

Note to self: if the waveforms left and right look virtually identical when rendering, maybe you are mixing virtually in mono. Actually my bandmate seems to think monoesque mixes are good for some common listening situations, but I can't pretend I was trying to mix that way.

I may finally be learning the difference between mono and stereo here, ha. Now that has been addressed to some degree, feel free to write on the soundcloud timeline or back here or wherever.
