Outstanding tuition Kenny, thank you so much. You made a serious contribution to my learning experience. To anyone else trying to learn Reaper, check out these vids. For me the tuition style is the clearest I have found, and there are some great courses on his site. I bought the mixing one and will put a review u soon.
Appreciation to all you guys who make this forum great.

Kenny your tutorials are OUTSTANDING! This newbie needs all the help he can get. Have you done one on fixing time/ groove issues in a song yet? I'm trying to work through tempo mapping 101 and I just downloaded SWS extension but I'm having trouble wading through it all.
Thanks for all that you do!!

Brilliant videos as always Kenny including those on Groove3. I have introduced a few new users to Reaper lately and have pointed them directly at your videos.
I think a good idea for a future video would be another one on the MIDI editor explaining things like the Track List, Media Item lane, Visibility, Editability, Multiple MIDI Editors (one per project/track/media item), etc.
I think this would be very beneficial for new starters doing MIDI editing in Reaper.
Thanks for all of your tutorials. They have helped me immensely over the last few years.
BTW, you should put Reaper Signal Flow Explained in your signature as well as that was fantastic too!

btw Kenny:
You're videos are imo really good, detailed and well explained.
And I feel Reaper has taken a step up in newbie/user-friendliness with your video-tutorials.
One thing.
This graphic are a little substandard for your other work

I (and probably others) appreciate it very much, Kenny. I'm currently switching from PT12 to Reaper on mac and I do a lot of intense mixing, so this will be extremely helpful.
Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Hi Kenny, I see you changed the video listing?
It's just fine, but I thought it was real nice the way you had the videos categorized. It was a big help in finding particular videos, not only for myself, but also when looking for a video to help others out.
I've learned many Reaper things from your videos.

Yep, me too. And I also liked the former video layout better which allowed me to search the webpage to find a video with a certain topic, which is now not possible anymore because you can only expand 1 item....

This video by Kenny really helped me with freezing techniques, midi & VSTs.
I now use it all the time.
Thank you Kenny!

It's re-organized with better category names and the ability to search by just hitting the option on the bottom to "expand all categories" first.
Thanks

Yep, this is great Kenny. The overview is indeed better with those categories, and now being able yo expand all categories, simple page-searching is very easy as well. Thank you!

Hybrid multitrack recording in Reaper
Forgive me if this is the wrong place to put this. Kenny has 2 excellent tutorials on 2 different approaches to multi-track recording. In the first, he shows you how to us a single multi-channel track, which makes takes and comping a breeze, but doesn't handle editing individual tracks well. In the second, he shows you how to record multiple tracks, which makes editing individual tracks easy but makes takes and comping more complicated. Luckily, there is a pretty simple way to get the best of both worlds. It does require you to do your take management and comping first in your workflow, but for me that's what I'd do anyway.
First, follow Kenny's instructions for using a single multi-channel track and output tracks. Record your takes. Choose a keeper, or comp one together the way you'd normally comp any set of takes. When satisfied you've got a keeper, select all the stereo output tracks (e.g. stereo overheads, stereo rooms), right click and choose "Render to stereo stems and mute originals." Then select all the mono output tracks and right click and choose "Render to mono stems and mute originals." Mute the multi-channel track and put it and all the output tracks in a folder for safe keeping (or delete them and save the project under a new name, whatever works for you). You now have a multi-track recording of your keeper ready for editing. If you had any effects setup on your output tracks (EQ, compression, time delays, etc) they are now printed into the multi-tracks.
Anyway, I hope somebody finds this useful. Thanks Kenny Gioia for the fantastic tutorials.

Wow! I did NOT know this existed. I assume the Reaper 5 Explained videos are the same as those on Groove 3. Not sure how you make money for your efforts having the vids here but I hope you do!
I used to use Pro Tools 8 and moved to reaper three years ago. Your videos (Reaper 4 explained) were the best thingI could ever have purchased to help me "unlearn" PT and discover the world of Reaper.
I can't wait to extend my knowledge even further with these newly discovered vids!! Thanks so much, and I've joined the FB group.

I believe Kenny has developed this style of speaking in his tutorials to keep the speed of his delivery a bit slower than he may normally speak. I have been purchasing his videos since he first had tutorials on sale on Groove3. Personally I find the information and the delivery to work for me quite well and so do a lot of others. Maybe finding a tutorial maker that is more to your liking would be an option. Many tutorials available.
