Default Hit and Run a bit of country rock 'n roll

Guitars and mix by Msundh. Despite being outside his comfort zone he nailed the lead guitar style. Thanks Mikke.

Always a pleasure collaborating with you.
Great vocals and harmonies as always.

Enjoyed it! Vocals and harmonies were great! That Strat tone is one of my favorites!

Good job!

Hi Barry. Yeah fun stuff, and that type of strat tone in the solos is very appropriate for your song, is that the middle position?

There seems to be quite an obvious edit at 1:34? Maybe it's possible to smooth that one out a bit?

(grin) getting dangerously close to what I do with Skivin` Ivan & the Slackers!

I try and avoid getting too close to traditional country sounds, but...

Nice track, Barry.

Thanks for all the comments. To answer the question, Duophonics you'd have to ask Msundh about the strat, I just wind him up and let him go! I can't hear the edit you hear but my ears have been bashed for over 50 years of bass playing. I'll certainly re-visit the mix though.

Coachz, despite or maybe because of its simplicity, this was one of the most tedious songs to record that I can remember. Apart from the vocals it only became fun when I got Mikke's guitars but I still gave up on mixing and passed it to him. he took out the kitchen sink and sent it back. Bingo!

Ivan if you want to add this to your repertoire with the Slackers it's royalty free to my mates!

Thanks to all and glad you enjoyed this bit of fun music.

Default Bad edit

Duophonic has very good ears. I found a kick drum beat at 1.34 that was out of time. I'll fix it tomorrow when I'm fresh. Thanks!

Hi
The strat solos are made using the neck pickup using Thermionik Damage in the two first solos and BIAS FX with a Fender Deluxe Reverb Amp simulation for the end solo.
