Default USB Multichannel Output

My PC is connected to a Yamaha mixer via usb.

The board supports 34 inputs via that USB connection but the yamaha windows usb audio driver only outputs over channels 1 and 2.

I know there are Yamaha programs with which I can play audio over the other channels, but I need to play audio from other applications like ProPresenter and maybe VLC.

I hear this is possible with Reaper but I can't figure it out. I NEED to output over channels 33/34.

Is it possible? How?

In Reaper audio device setup there are boxes to set input and output range....are channels up to 34 available for output there if you set the Yamaha as audio driver?

Which board?

Many of the combo analog mixer + audio interface models only have 2 in x 2 out interfaces. Are you certain this is a multichannel interface?

If it's a case of class compliant on the Mac and driver install required for Windows... their tech support may have answers for Windows. (The combo multichannel Soundcraft boards are like this.)

It's a Yamaha TF5

Yes, it shows 34 output channels available.

So it's probably working. You just need to route audio to the correct channels.

Push routing button of track or master track, add new hardware output and assign to 33/34. You may either need to untick Master send or delete hardware out 1/2 so the audio isn't going to both outs.

Can you post pics of your Reaper Preferences for the audio device?
How to post screenshots (in Post #2)
How to describe your hardware set-up (in Post #3) Y0u will see there that I am about to select 4 input and 4 output channels.
