Default "Copy imported media to project media directory" not working

I have checked the "Copy imported media to project media directory" from Preferences - Media but when i import a new mp3 or wav file from example Windows Desktop, Reaper doesn't copy imported media to project path. Then if i delete the file from desktop, Reaper says media not found.

What should i do?

Have you tried after importing the project "save as" & select "move all media to project folder" ?

This seems to work, thanks very much! Do you know if it's possible to make Reaper copy or move media to project folder when using "Save" and not "Save as"?

No I think "save" just updates what is in the project, but "save as" makes a new version, there's a new option as well under "file" it's "save new version" which actually makes a different "new version" if you want?,,,try it!

And you have to "Save As" EVERY time you add a track... Major PITA and a big beef for me... How hard would it be for "Save" to move any new tracks added since the last "Save As?"
