Default "building up" a midi loop (merge/ add to recent take)

Hey all

I really miss a funktion in midi editing:

How do I add to a midi track, instead of replace? I want to record ( through a controller) a drumtrack, first BD, and in nekst take the SN and so on.
Ev. add things later.
AND, important, have as much as possible in one track, to spare my CPU.

Regards from DK

Right-click the track's record button and select "Record: MIDI overdub in existing items".
