Default New Theme: Flatter

Who needs the 3rd dimension? Don't raise my buttons! Flatter is a new theme that may be useful to folks who like/prefer the look of Live and other 2-dimensional styled apps.

My goal in this effort was to make the interface less "in your face", but still provide good visual feedback of what's going on -- and hopefully still somewhat attractive. The base design uses white as an accent color against a medium-dark gray base color set, to let the other colors "pop" a little more.

Also included is a matching splash screen based on a wallpaper by White Tie.

Yay! From the same guy who made the first theme for v3. Thanks Sevenfold!

good work. I like flat themes. there aren't many (any?) for v3 either! I like. I'm glad you made one so I didn't have to do it

If I wanted to change, say, just the color of the FX button (on each track), how could I do that?

I am still trying to wrap my head around themes/editing/modifying.

Thanks!

This is just great.

I had to lighten the 'unselected docker tab' color to make the text visible. Otherwise this theme is perfect.

The FX button is displayed using image files in the theme folder, and any changes to an image affects all tracks at once. There are 16 images that relate to FX (search for "fx" in the theme folder). You will need to change the hue (color tint) of each button in a paint app and then resave. If you'd like more detail on tweaking buttons, I can post separately in the forum (maybe under Basics of Theme Editing).

Another option that is often much easier, is to ask the theme maker to just do it for you If the request is reasonable and may be useful to other as well, I'll gladly add extra buttons to the theme in an "options" folder.

Hey, thanks everyone for the great feedback. The Reaper community is 5-star and I'm glad I can offer something back (I might not post a lot, but I read a ton of very helpful posts).

Added some Pro Tools style color options:
+ optional green FX buttons
+ optional yellow Solo buttons
+ solid-color VU meters, with color breaks set at -18db & -3db, based on "Meter Coloring" post

I love the theme. Nice work Sevenfold. One tiny critique, it appears to be missing an "mcp_master_sendlist_meter.png".

I use the master sends for my various speaker main volume controls for monitoring, which I assume is not usually how others do it. This means I notice this right away in a theme if the visual indication of my monitor level is missing (which it often is in new themes, you are not alone). The only difference here is that I finally took the time to figure out which png or colour setting is causing the problem. I found it, yay!

Thanks for a really great looking theme.

nice one... and though it's totally in the opposite direction of where I've been going [3D madness] I do like it... nice to have variety!

is there a way to pack all the necessary files into one ReaperThemeZip file. I would like to keep that folder as clutter free as possible. A lot of the other themes are compacted into one file.

Am I being too picky? ;-)

Yes its very easy

Zip the folder with all the png files & add the theme file to that zip then rename the extension of the zip from .zip to .ReaperThemeZip
