Default Blurry fonts issue

I've moved to Mac from Windows severeal weeks ago and now trying to adept my theme to Mac environemnt.

I don't understand why top Timeline font is blurry. Perhaps it has different size but how to change it? I didn't have such problem on Windows.

Thanks for help!

I believe this is because Windows and OSX use different DPI displays. The font size settings were made on a Windows computer for this theme, and on OSX you'll find that the fonts may be blurry or the wrong size or both.

Simply enter the theme tweaker section and set new font sizes so they are comfortable on your Mac, and this should also take care of the blurriness.

Thanks for reply. I did that already But the problem is some values on Timeline have different font size. As you could see on a screenshot some values are crisp and others are blurry. Maybe it was changed in some newer build...i don't know. Oh well....

It looks like the (grey-scale?) aliasing of the larger characters:

The upper screenshot is from your image; the lower one is the Default theme on Window 7. The larger font size for more important time position was introduced (recently?) in response to an FR.

Reaper has always had issues rendering fonts in windows at least, this goes back a long time, if you havent had the issue it just means you have been lucky

In Preferences/Appearance, look at the Faster text rendering (reduces antialiasing) option : don't know on a Mac, but here, the font display results are quite different whether this one is ticked or not...

This is just a guess, but to me it looks like the font in question is a pixel font, i.e. it has a few different fixed sizes where it looks good, and trying to render it at any inbetween size will cause ugly blurring like this.

Alternatively, the blurry bits might be set to a bold font weight that the font doesn't support.
