I would love to see a smooth pink version of this theme so we can get some girls into Reaper... and I would use that theme too

Youn you .bat switching thang is killer!
The theme is beautiful
I dig then new aytomation icons, but I prefered the first batch, so I switched back.

I am splitting my time 50/50 between this theme (untouched in terms of colour tweaks) and reaBendo R5.

cheers

The Matrox cards definitely had some big performance issues with enabled "Smooth Scrolling" in Internet Explorer. This is not an issue anymore on the nVidia card. But then again. Moving and scrolling windows still isn't that great as it could and should be imo.
Hey Dandruff! (And the rest of the Forum!)

I'm building a new Quad Core Q6600 and my video card is the ASUS EN7600GS

Here's the link at Newegg http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814121007

Here's my MB

Intel D975XBX2KR LGA 775 Intel 975X ATX Intel

Do you think my card can handle all these cool 3D Skins or should I return it and upgrade?

Thanks guys!

the thing is, that all these "3d skins" don't use any of the 3d acceleration of modern graphicscards. so yes, this card should be fine. pretty much the same as the one i'm using.

if there are any problems, then it's the software or the drivers ...

Thanks for the fast reply Dandruff!

Glad I don't need to return anything else!

About the only thing on a VGA that [kinda] matters for 2D speed, and we use 2D only in any DAW, is memory speed. The faster the memory - the faster the drawing, but the difference is negligible. That said, all 128bit memory bus VGA-s, even some 64-bit, have more than enough speed for 2D. The most important thing, I think, is the stability and compatibility of the VGA driver.

Conclusion: no, you don't need the best VGA card out there, only if you're a gamer. What you should be looking at is that it's passively cooled so you could "enjoy the silence" [Depeche Mode ]. I usually buy second from the top [in terms of speed] of the passively cooled ones and presently that's nVidia GForce7600GS or 8600GS.

Cheers!
