VST insert

I have tried to load up my soft synth (Golden Asset) in the add FX dialogue and it says it is not available but its configuration is saved for when it does become available. Sometimes I open up the project and its there...sometimes not..cant figure it out.

check that its path is correctly in option\prefs\vst plugins

Maybe a reinstall changed the path

I checked the path and all in the prefs dialog and its ok...and sometimes when I click the FX its all there for me and yet sometimes I open the session ant its not there. I know its me and I'm doing something wrong but its going to take me ages to find out.....which I will.....eventually

How do you find latency when playing virtual insruments here? When I use Pro Tools LE I take the buffer down to 125 sanples (instead of over 2000 for play back) and its ok but in reaper I have not yet found the equivalent command
