Big Theme (1.5x)
I had a couple free hours, so here's my "Big" theme! You will need to scale the UI by 1.5!
These are just icons, btw, and is shown here with the default colour scheme.

Download it here: (link removed)
Additional Credit: I "borrowed" some graphics from the Akoustic and Stealth themes.
Some icons are from this site: http://tango.freedesktop.org/Tango_Icon_Gallery

On my laptop with hires (1600 pixels wide in 15.5") screen, this comes up very nicely, thanks!
Reminder to others - after changing Options > Preferences > General > Advanced > UI Scaling, you have to restart Reaper. You'll probably need to mess with the button background colours in Color Theme preferences too.
[Edit - one thing about these icons is that they seem to look good in just about every theme.]

I like how "grab-able" they appear, although a bit "candy that comes in a box at movie theatres that's like gummi bears but square" look. The overall look is sort of... Mario-kart ish, but eye-arresting/functional.
Don't care for serif fonts myself. Make that, "I hate serif fonts", they look old fashioned IMO and a juxtaposition on a "modern" GUI.
The "translucent" top-left corner shading is *almost* too saturated on my screen. It *almost* looks like the perspective is drawn wrong on some of them, maybe don't shade the top left corner. It means they won't pop as much, but really there should be counter-shading on the "flat" portion of the GUI adjacent to it (which I know you can't change).
Hmm... I dunno.. looking closer, I see it's more of an exaggerated wide-angle look... so the perspective is a bit peculiar, IMO... I think it would work better if one made it offset to a "looking up to the left" (which is what I though it was trying to infer initially), instead of "looking down through a wide angle lense"...
/ never mind me

Actually, that gets back to one of my FR musings; if the GUI had a 3D aspect, where one could make that effect match one's natural lighting or expand out from the middle (which would be more natural - buttons on the bottom should show inverse perspective IMO), that would be better...
But +1 on the "translucent raised button" look, I'm just not sure about the perspective/shading...

First, unzip the contents into a new folder within the "ColorThemes" folder:

Inside REAPER on the main menu, goto Options > Preferences, then click on the "Advanced UI/system tweaks..." button, and choose to scale the UI by 1.5:

Now, goto the "Color Theme" page, and select the new icon set from the drop down menu:

You'll then have to restart REAPER, for the UI scaling to be applied.
