collaborations
do you guys actually do that in here? the thread descriptions says it's allowed, but i'm just wondering if folks take advantage of that? i write tunes (rock/country/blues/alt/jazz) and am always looking for better players than myself.
the tunes aren't awful...at least i don't think they are i'd be happy to post a couple examples, but i want to see if this really goes on here (collaboration).
thanks

Hello,
the question is whether you simply look for people just to find out whether they play better than you or not, or you look for people in order to arrange and accomplish a song together !_? I guess it is the latter ;-)
Maybe just post one example of a tune and see what´s going to happen... !-?

I would be happy to do something with specific goals. Writing, mixing, singing, remixing, whatever 'cos basically I need the practice.
Recently I've been focussing on programming drums and playing with EDM/IDM type stuff, but my background is more indie, rock and ska rhythm guitarist, writer, and stand in bass.
So yeah, go ahead and post some stuff that you specifically want to work on.
Ps - I tend to prefer working with people who play worse than me, but they are really hard to find 8-)

here's a recent thing, that i hate the drums on. i use addictive drums 2, but don't like to spend a lot of time writing fills, etc, and the canned fills can be rather pedestrian.
did you mean you only play stand up bass? i have tunes i could use that on, as well. if you play electric bass, then i'd be more than willing to hear what you can do with this theme. i play bass out of necessity.
i'll post others, but first i'd like to see if you're interested.
thanks.

Hey , that's a quick response.
I mean't I'd play bass as a stand-in, if the bassist doesn't turn up. And I'm rusty as hell - listening to that track you are doing better.
I'd give the drum programming a crack if you'd like.
Do you have vocal/lyrics?
