Default Korg nanoKontrol I with Reaper on Win 7

It seems that the Korg NanoKontrol is not the most reliable device for controlling Reaper. I always have a hard time getting it to work and it's never reliable.

Followed the instruction shown here (post #5)
https://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=93503

The Korg Editor recognizes the device. Reaper recognizes the device in MIDI. But it wont function. Play, REW, FF, none of them work.

It might have something to do with the Instruction regarding the "Actions List" in Reaper and loading the map. The interface might have changed.

Does yours work? Is there some other docs I should look at?

Quick question...

If you look through this thread -

https://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=175876

does anything look familiar?

One other question...

Any other usb devices in play? Using a hub?

Not sure where to put this...."Klinke's Mackie Control "
I put it in my Plugin's folder, but it doesn't show up as a selection (Preferences - Control - Add )

Was on a hub. Plugged direct into the front of the PC now. Should go straight to the Motherboard.

BTW: This is a nanoKontrol I not a 2

Preferences - Audio - MIDI
This is what I missed "Enable +Control"
Need to do more testing. But it seems to work.
Even if it's just transport control, I'll be happy.

Thanks,

Mike

Good to hear.

If you run into any other bumps in the road, I recall a couple of other things that my Nanokontrol2 has a tendency to be grumpy about.

Good luck!

I own & use 2 Nanokontrol 1s & a Nanopad. Can`t find it right now but there is a great thread on here in the MIDI section that covers setting up/installing everything you need to get your NK1 working in Reaper. I can use both mine at the same time controlling different tracks if I need to, or just one for smaller projects.
